Karcher Jet Wash

Invested in a Karcher last week. Was initially a bit worried about using the brush attachment. I know it's designed for car paint but it felt a bit coarse to me and I was concerned it would scratch the paintwork of my Cupra. So, naturally I tested it out on the other half's Corsa first. Trouble is, her Corsa is scratched to buggery anyway, where she has driven too close to hedgerows (and kerbed the alloys...) so I wasn't sure whether the Karcher brush did any damage or not. So, has anyone else got one - and do they have any opinions on whether they do more harm than good?

Only place I ever consider using the Karcher brush is tyres and under sills. I won't even use it on my rims, but they are painted BBS so probably for the best. I use it occasionally to give my tyres a good wash.

Never goes near my bodywork though, far too harsh to be dragging across the paint.

Stick to soft wash-mitts or soft microfibre wash mitts, and the 2 bucket method. ;)

If you know anyone at a car dealership the general advice is they don't clean black cars with brushes because they cause scratches. Yet they use them on every other colour [:@]

I don't let them clean my car though, they always do a crap job anyway! :censored:
