Thank you :) I am so chuffed with them. I have no intended home for the winter wheels, so I will let you know for sure. I have no need for them now since I bought the Rav4, as I don't take the car unless I know it will be dry.

It's only fair to sell them back to you if you needed them :)

Hi Kat,

They look nice :)

One thing to watch with them is that when I had mine done at PPS, they coated the part of the wheel that sits facing the hub which when torqued up, meant that it was an absolute nightmare to take them off as they were literally sticking on to the car.

Defo worth making sure that isn't the case with yours ;)

This can also screw up your wheel alignment and wheel balance. When I got mine done at Clark's they found the rear alignment was fairly out of spec. There's no real adjustment on the rears so (apart from rear axle damage) the other reason for this is as Al says, there was powder coat on the mating faces of the wheel. They had to sand off the excess powder coat on the mating faces which brought the alignment back into spec.

As above the balance will be out if the wheels were balanced with the excess powdercoat in place so worth getting that done again too.

EDIT - sorry, meant to say, wheels look nice and fresh now, result :)

Most powder coaters will spray over the hub part of the wheel if they do a decent job and do the inside correctly. As if they taped that part off with the sharp change in shape of the wheel the paint can tend to lift and chip away as it's got a sharp exposed edge.

Usually before people put the wheel back on they will sand off the offending excess paint and apply a health smeer of copper grease, no sticking to the hub. But I'm sure Paul will sort that our for you :)

Niall, I may be a female but I do know a fair bit! Its all under control thanks to my boyfriend, it was him that got them done so he's taking charge of it all. Thanks for the advice tho, appreciate it :) Thanks, love the wheels! Dead chuffed. :)

All is under control Big Mac! :p

Derek you are spot on. They have been sanded now, so I now need to get nanolex on them, then they will be fitted. Paul has it all sorted for me, and copper grease is his friend so there's no fear of them sticking to the hub! :funk:

Wheels look great Kaz, will suit the car well! :)

Thanks Tom, cant wait to get them waxed up and on the car :D

Oh Katherine, don't be silly girls don't know what theyr doing hehe. Joking.

Oh oh young Katherine, actually old Katherine ;-) how are you prepping the wheels? That nanolex? I'm still using the miglore stuff but it takes a lot of effort to apply.

Know what I'm doing more than you do!!

Hey, less of the old, I'm not 24 yet!! I'm getting Nanolex Professional Paint and Alloy Sealent, prob one of the best out there, far better than the Migliore. I have it but like you said, lot of effort. I can let Nanolex fully cure since alloys are off :)
