Key Fob / Immobiliser help

Hi guys wanting abit of advice if possible.

I have a 2007 Leon Cupra that the unlock button on my key fob has stopped working on. The lock and boot buttons work fine just not the unlock one,

this morning I was able to open the car door with the key and start the engine with the key and all worked fine,

I am wondering if I am going to be able to continue doing this (locking with the fob and opening manually) or if I need to lock and open with the key in the door until I get a key repaired or a new one etc. I just don’t wanna get stuck with an immobiliser on (if they have one) or anything and be stranded.

also any idea on cost of a new key with programming roughly. I do have a friend at seat so am waiting for them to get back to me.

You tried changing the battery? Usually when the battery is going one of the buttons stops working before anything else.

Hi, I did try this with a brand new battery but this made no difference. The same button wouldn’t work

will give it another try later tonight
