Whats the difference between VagTacho and VAG COM?

I'm sure VagTacho accesses the IMMO module (related to immobiliser/tacho function) rather than the sensors/convenience module that you can alter using VagComm

Apart from that very limited explanation I'm not 100% sure. On EBay they sell it as a mileage correction tool.
