Hi, I own a toledo 2000 and the key battery died so I replaced it but the problem is that the command doesn't work anymore.
I've tried the instructions that appear on this forum but with no success.
It seems to me I can't get it into learning mode.
Any ideas/suggestions :help:

hy you have to turn the key to the first pozition an press one of the buton (open or close) at least for 10 sec . i had the same problem and now its ok

Had a similar problem myself.
Turned out that I'd been a little heavy hand with the clip on top of the battery and wasn't making a good contact.
I'd could get it to bend back properly, so I packed it out with a small piece of folded card between the clip and the cover.
Worked instantly.

Hi, may not apply to your key but I recently bought a new key & seat had major problems, apparently early toledo's (1999/2000) have a fixed code immobiliser later models have a vari-code immobiliser. For some reason my 1999 toledo has a vari-code so when they were trying to program it as a fixed code it didn’t work. I had a go at trying to program it myself but didn’t work:cry:
It took them four attempts & in the end they got Seat SA to send them a code.
Hope this helps.
