keyfob probs

ive been having problems with my 2 button keyfob first battery went so replaced that and it worked for a day now it wont work at all the little led doesnt even flash, the car will open from the lock start etc, so would it just be a case of buying a secondhand key off ebay and swopping the blade and electrics to it or is it more serious and need new electronics ie new key and re-programming

Check the connections first of the battery, mines been playing up of late, but is now fine again now.

checked connections and now the red led is constantly on any ideas anyone?

Errrrrrmmmmmmm

Sounds like the button bit is stuck down now.

put some switch cleaner around it pressed button a few times and it working now hopefully for another 7 years.........
