Hi Markoos

Yeah we managed to grab a space between the parked cars for the 3rd race

You might have seen me, the wife, my mate and 2 baby buggies (3 month old & a 22 month old!). Got to introduce them early...!

Had a great day, left just before the final legends race

Good pics, watched all the races on ITV and I think that was one if not the most entertaining races of the season so far! Next one should be even better with Plato vs Giovanardi to decide the drivers title.

Yeh it is a Clio Sportique! 1.2 as well! Must be slower than a week in jail!

QUOTE]

Good day BCM and others. Yes, I am the OAP driving the Clio Sportique! I don't know whether to laugh or cry. :D:cry:

It is a 1.9D - so maybe a little quicker than you imagine - 0-60 in a smidgin under 2 days (downhill).

It is the only camper that meets my needs - compact (car size), economical (55+ mpg), and FUN (has everything needed for camping), each to his own I guess. But it has no "go-faster" bits, no longer necessary for me.

Enjoy your SEAT and Knockhill - from your photos we were stood very close to you overlooking the hairpin.

Bye fer now .... ;)

To be honest mate I was more impressed and taken a back by the car/van/camper clio, never seen one ever!
Just strange, like the first time you see a new mini clubman on the road!
As you said, looks fun and must start a few conversations!
Oh, how the hell did you find the site and your picture?

Hi - thanks for the quick reply.

Like you, I had never seen such a vehicle, so I occasionally "google" for Sportique, that's how I found you. Good photos of Knockhill and I am honoured that you picked out the Clio for special attention!
Yes, it raises many eyebrows and starts many conversations.

Take it easy,

Renault Clio Sportique camper van, 1.9D, 2-burner gas ring, sink w/water-tank, shower, double-bed, mains hook-up, elevating roof etc.
