knocking noise from behind dash

I've got a annoying knocking noise from what sounds like is coming from behind the dash, mostly comes when changing gear or putting the clutch down and lifting it back up quite quickly causing it to jerk. Not sure if it's behind the dash but does sounds like it. Or possibly a worn dogbone mount? Anyone had something similar?

sounds like the dogbone mount like you said or an engine mount

It's just it doesnt feel like it's coming from underneath, got to be worth changing tho, it has done 100 thousand miles.

i did mine,as mines done the same miles, i put a supaflex on

Yeah, I think I'll stick a new seat one on there as I don't really want extra vibrations.

Went our in the car and it's defiantly behind the dash doesn't sound like it's underneath. Will have a look in the engine bay to see if any thing is hitting the firewall.

Found the cause of my knocking noise. The bracket that holds the solid metal coolant lines the runs across the firewall was loose, causing it to knock against the firewall which sounds like it was behind the dash.
