Hi lads finally saved up to get a ko3 Hybrid conversion to my mk3! Im in nottingham and was wondering if any of you guys have had this done any where local to me? I have called r rs tunning and they say they can produce approx 280bhp out of it? Also any one know a good place to source the 225 injectors and 3inch maf? I am running forge fmic with blueflame turbo back de-cat, 4 bar fp and revo stage 2 at the min runnning 218.2BHP at monster motorsport in Liecester! cheers , Arron

just save and save! I just had a look on jbs they are £122 each, so i will call TPS tomorrow from work and see if i can get some trade price, i reckon i will need an uprated fuel pump to? but rs tunning prices seem fair!

Here, there and everywhere ;)
LCR fuel pump is the way to go, just use your existing sender unit off your old pump.

Injectors best sourced through TPS or a reputable tuner, MAF housing can be found at a breakers yard as you dont need the sensor.

I think 260bhp is more accurate

The 03/04 hybrids tend to flow more than the stock K04 equipped cars. Average g/s flow seems to be in the 220/230 region, which is more than an average mapped K04 car at around 200/210.

The reason being the K03 manifold flows much better than it's K04 equivalent.

260 is reasonably achievable from a K04 equipped car, so 270+ isn't beyond the realms of possibility.

same levels as k04 cars do.. which on my dyno seems a max of 260lbft typically unless on a hybrid k04

I priced up injectors at jbs and they are £488 all in! So I will try backdraft tomorrow! What did he get bhp wise out yours mate? £130 for both was dirt cheap

for the k03/4 you will find injectors way way cheaper than that price...
even the vxr ones would cope with k03/4 and are £135/4 inc fuel rail (you dont need)

On pauls RR i got 276bhp, 275bhp on awesome gti's RR (below in sig)

now iirc i got the LCR injectors for £90 for 4, and the 3" maf (with element) for £33

I would have thought more torque was archieveble from these hybrid setup. I think philW was running close to 300lbft on 2 different rollers on his k03s setup before he went BT.

I guess its all about the lottery, but from reading threads on here a hybrid setup outpreforms a good k03s setup all over the rev range. As you´ve described earlier Bill - "impressive little units"

From you sig I see you´ve manage to get 320 ftlb, is that on 1 roller or have you tried different rollers as I ve noticed you´ve bin on the hybrid setup for quite a while.

Any tips of where to get a 3" maf housing at a reasonable price, not one of those alu ones witch in my oppinion often are over priced.

What you get is essentially a k04 inside a k03 body, any flow gains you see are in th emain down to the k03 manifold flowing more than a stock k04 one (ironic!)

why would it produce so much more than a k04 would? It is a k04..

K03/4 unit shift 220g/s where k03s are no where near this.. Corresponding gains are had..
K03s numbers are widely overstated.. I have not seen a k03 yet make more than 214bhp on my dyno but do see k03/4 hybrids run 260bhp same as their real k04 cousins.
