will a seat leon fr engine cover fit onto a cupra engine?

a person with a nuespeed for a ko4 wants to sell but only if my engine will fit his ko4'd car.

will it?

The engine covers are the same it's only the connecting pipe to turbo that's different.
So yes both covers will fit both cars.

cheers marshall. supose the next question would be. will a neuspeed induction for a k04 fit a ko3 car?

If its a neuspeed from a k04 and your wanting to fit to a k03 car then yes it will fit perfectly. You will need to buy a 25mm silicone cap from eBay for £3 to blank off the extra port on the neuspeed.
Personally I think they should only supply k04 kits with a cap so can be used on either.

Unless you have the connecting pipe to the turbo then no (for the original cover)

as for the neuspeed yes it will fit but you will need to bung a whole in it

As I said the original flexi pipe from the engine cover to the turbo is different in the way the k04 has a DV take off.
The shape and diameter where it connects to the engine cover is exactly the same.
If the other person only wants your cover and has his own flexi pipe to turbo the cover will fit perfectly.
All the engine covers for FR and Cupra S3 are all the same and just have the plinth added to the top model dependant.

Yeah. I have a k03 with engine cover and he has a k04 without a engine cover.


He wants my engine cover in swop for the neuspeed. I'm not sure if he has the connecting pipe that you mention lads.


Could he take mine?

No your connecting pipe to turbo doesn't have the diverter valve take off.
I'm not to sure its that great of deal.
Engine covers alone with no connecting pipes make £50 and a pflow can be bought brand new for around £160.
Even after only 500 miles its worth about £120 max without any engine cover trade.
It's up to you but if I was giving my engine cover the neuspeeds only with £80 ish.
He's already had the money for his old cover too remember.
