I will be painting my handles on my flash red LCR soon and just wanted peoples opinions on how you would tackle it or have tackled it??
Do i repaint them completely, or get as much of the lacquer peel off and re lacquer them like you do with the calipers??

i masked up , flatted back and removed the flaking laquer then just dressed with U-Pol laquer, possibly the best job i could of done without getting them done at a bodyshop.

i just practiced on a black dvd case to get the layers right, lasted quite well up to now,

I've got lacquer peeling off all over my car. It makes me upset how crap the paint is on these cars :-(

You have the worse colour for it mate, mines a close second. Joy of owning a bright colour i suppose...

Got round to doing this today. Ended up spraying them red instead of just lacquer, they have come out better than I expected tbh :D

Just the case of sanding with 1000 grit then 2500, 3-4 coats of paint, wait a few hours to dry the lacquer them

Hi Mikey,
Any decent brand Lacquer will do - try to avoid halfords if possible.

Lookup your paint code, should be on a label inside door or under boot carpet I think.

Makes me wanna cry everytime I look at it.

Nothing wrong with halfords lacquer apart from the price lol. Get the colour mixed at a proper car paint supplier as they can check the colour of your car against there sample cards as normally there are at least 2 different shades.
