Hi.

I have a Toledo V5, I've heard that you can get laggy throttle responce due to fly by wire and have also heard that you can do something to reset the throttle position. Anybody know how to do this?

I have a lot of work on the cards (but most I can't afford yet like a supercharged conversion). I was looking at modifiying and fitting the Leon Cupra R front and rear bumpers (and possibly the side skirts), Has anyone attempted this and does anyone have any advice for me?

I know that I will have to completely modify the rear bumper but looking at the 2 cars I think I can just mount the front bumper without any mods.

Also are there any specific makes of suspension that anyone would recomend for a V5 (for example, the best suspension setup on a mk2 golf gti is Koni shocks and billstien springs).

Cheers

AFAIK to reset the throttle position, just turn the ignition on and you should hear a whine under the bonnet. Don't press the go pedal, wait for the whining to stop and job done!!!

*waiting for someone to tell him he's wrong:doh:*

Found it now. what you have to do is...

Turn on iginition and hold accelerator down for approx 2 mins then turn off iginition but keep the accelerator held down for a further 5 seconds.

I was getting a split second between gear shifts when I had no throttle but this has gone.

Hi Phill......
do a search mate you will find loadsa tollys with the Cupra/Cupra R bumper mods....the skirts are also easy to fit!
bumper you will need to get the Guides from the dealer and probably the wheel arch extensions to make it look good (i needed both for the cupra bumper conversion and the R is wider AFAIK)
Suspension....depends on who you talk too.....i personally used Eibach Pro springs and shocks....and definately would again.
