lambda sensor

can i extend a lambdor sensor by simply cutting the 4 wires and adding a piece to it? will it work properly? the wires will be soldered and wrapped seperatly so it will be done properly! i dont want to spend another £50 on it as ive got to buy a new down pipe and cat as some pikey theiving git nicked it

2 of the wires are identical.

ok, what i will do is strip the protective sleave off then do as you say, one at once then wrap it with some more protective stuff as its near the exhaust.
