I'm looking to tint my rear lights. I was originally looking at flyeyes but read a few posts on here about them not looking so good close up (like a pair of tights lol) so looked into lamin-x. However, I can't seem to find anywhere to buy it, does anyone know where I can get some? Their own site is american (prices are in dollars) and I can't select my car (12 plate mk5 ibiza).
Thanks in advance.

You can buy sheets on eBay and cut it yourself.
Or from this website > funkmotorsport.com/#!lamin-x/c1sgh

It is pricey but it's quality stuff

Thanks mate that's spot on. I've heard good things about it. Has anyone used it on rear light and can point me in the direction of what shade is best. Can't decide between gunsmoke (12%) and smoked (17%). Opinions or pictures would be great.
Thanks :)

Make sure you do the rear reflectors too or it'll look bad.

That's really dark but looks amazing on your Cupra

Do you have any legal issues with them?

And OP Id probably go with the lightest tint possible if you want to avoid cops pulling you over every other day

Thank you.
No legal issues but I'm in Greece, maybe in the UK the law is different.
There is no difference in light output when you cruise at night or when you hit the brakes, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ey-8UJlywoU

@queen , did you do it yourself?
Thanks
Yes, it's quite easy as long as you have a heat gun. They get very stretchy when heated so you can manipulate around the curves of the lights quite easily.
It's better though if you do this with another person as you need someone to hold the light as you apply the film.

Cheers for that, I'd do it with my dad anyway I think! Do you think a hair dryer would work just as well as a heat gun? As that's all I have. And when you say to hold the light, does that mean you removed the light? Thanks again for the reply!

*druel*

I wasn't sure about tinting until I saw this.

I guess so, maybe it'll take a little longer to heat and get more flexible.
Yes I removed them because I wanted to do the corners of the lights as well to be extra safe for example when it rains. So far they've kept wonderfully. Each has a screw on the rear, you can access it from the trunk.
Don't mind the bubbles it may take some time but eventually they'll disappear.
Also, remember to do the rear reflectors or it'll look bad imo.
The reflectors don't have a screw you need to push them from the inside and they'll pop off.
You can access them under the bumper.

No I didn't do the center brake light.
You're welcome.

Niceeee! Thanks mate! Definitely made it easier taking the rear lights off the car, that would be my top tip! Good luck, hope you get the results you want!

Me too, hoping there isn't an issue with the law about the front lights, going to upgrade the bulbs (xenons aren't an option on the FR black edition God only knows why) but a guy has an M3 at the top of the street with his front lights done so fingers crossed will post pictures as soon as I have it done, were the lights easy enough to remove?

I think the law is just the front lights have to be a white/ yellow colour with a clear beam pattern (I think that's what I read somewhere anyway) as long as they're not TOO dark you'll be fine! That's the beauty of it tho, if you get a fussy police man you can just take it off!
The lights are fairly easy to remove. Just unscrew the bolt thing in the boot at the back of the light, wiggle the light cluster a bit and pull it out, than unclip the wire at the back of the light and the light will come free from the car, then do your stuff! Yeh get the pictures on!
