Hi folks,

I was interested in getting a wider look on the VZ2 (stock suspension) Does anyone have the best suggestion on wheel spacer thickness it defo seems to be able to run abit more on the rear compared to the front?

Any help would be appreciated as it would save me having to take wheel off add test fit/measure etc

Thanks

I've done a quick measure on my VZ2 (stock wheels & tyres) and the absolute maximum I could legally add to each wheel (both front and rear) is 25mm. Personally, I'd go for 20mm, which pretty much makes the tyre sit flush with the bodywork. What you do is up to you.

Have you measured how far in the outside edges of your tyres sit from the extreme outer point of the bodywork/wheel arch? It's very quick and easy to do. Just get a broomhandle and stand it vertically against the centre of the wheel arch, then measure the gap between the outer edge of the tyre and the inner edge of the broomhandle. My measurement was 25mm - yours may or may not be the same..

Edit: Don't forget to ask your insurance company if they've got a problem with it.

Hi.
If you have any issues with insurance at all for wheel spacers then please feel free to drop me a line.
Regards,
Dan.
In my experience of a range of motor insurance companies, they don't have 'issues' with wheel spacers, nor do they charge extra for them, so you don't need to worry too much about him! The only time there could be a problem is if the company was trying to wriggle out of a claim, as insurance companies occasionally do, and he'd failed to inform them of the mod.

...but it's nice to see that you're still popping up to offer assistance, on car forums all over the place, Dan. I remember you from nearly 30 years ago. Like me, you must be getting on a bit now, or are you the original Dan's son/grandson? Anyway, keep up the good work!

No problem.
Same Dan. Been at Flux for over 35 years.
