Lc 20vt 4

Having seen some 4x4 LC 20VT's on the continent, I wonder, were they ever introduced in the UK? And would it be similar in performance to the front wheel drive version, the extra weight (if any) of the Haldex system taken in consideration?

If anybody has tried and compared both versions, what's the verdict?

Apparently the official line is that it wasn't considered because of the Cost of getting all the type approvals etc PLUS the 'fact' that SEAT UK also believed there was no market for the 4x4 in the UK = introducing a car which wouldn't give financial returns that would make it worth selling in the UK

the driveshaft may need a lot of effort to install, and the cupra4's have a higher boot floor, the diff needs space obviously. Big modifications to the rear suspension and front diff im sure - i looked at it as an option but it doesn't seem worth it.

How will the ECU cope as well?

Did Seat ever do a Cupra R (225bhp) with drive on all wheels?
If so, surely, that would have been a beautie.
