Hi all, looking for some assistance... My sister's Leon has an issue whereby the screen on the dash remains active, showing the image of the car even when the car is locked. Can anyone advise of a fix for this? Thanks.

My VW does the same, although the dash display only stays illuminated for a short time after locking the car. It then ‘goes to sleep’ (a black, non active screen).

Does your sister’s stay illuminated permanently? Has she - or you - checked it after the car’s been locked for a while?

She said she's left it for about an hour and has checked there and still on. Very strange, my concern is possible battery drain. She said the alarm had went off and has been doing that since.

I‘d be surprised if the dash display should still be illuminated after an hour, so it sounds as if there might be an issue with your sister’s car. Hopefully, some mk3 / mk3.5 Leon owners will add details to this discussion thread of whether or not the instrument display in their cars stays illuminated after locking the car, and for how long.

Dash lights should have gone off after a short time. Best get it looked at, could be a relay or something similar not shutting the system down.

Never seen that on my 19 Cupra - might be worth speaking to local garage/vw specialist to see if scanning finds anything.

I'd first try a simple reboot of the MIB unit. Press and hold the power button on the Infotainment screen, keep it pressed until you see it booting back up with the SEAT logo.

Is it possible a faulty door switch/lock could cause this? I know that when unlocking with the fob the centre dash panel comes on before opening the door.
