H Guys,

I'm going for a stage 1 map this month, going to pop up to Bill and get it done, so have the choice between custom code and REVO, anyone have experience of these maps which one to go for?

Also bearing in mind in the future I will be moving up to stage 2 once I can buy the parts required, so would like an easy transistion to the stage 2 map, if that makes any difference?

Also what are the potential BHP and torque.

Cheers
Tim.

tim, bill did a custom code map for me as it was a special price, revo wasnt at the time :(
now that revo is on promo deal id go for revo, plus its only £50 to go to stage 2 at any time.
stage one, i think on a good set of rollers like bills (accurate), you will be looking at 255-265 bhp.
and that will feel stupidly quick from the standard map :)

I was going along the lines of REVO because I've read more about it, plus they've got £100 off at the moment, Dan to adjust it myself I need the SPS switch, what is the cost of one of these, not that I would actually adjust it my self because I wouldn't know what was safe to set it too!

I think the sps switches retail at £149.99 but I'm sure you can pick them up cheaper. Go Revo you wont be disappointed ;)

The only part to go stage 2 is a full exhaust. 007p, air filter and fmic is just recommended tho.

Revo got £100 off atm for xmas offer so i Got a stage1 Revo yesterday @gotboost s.wales , im running green cotton panel filter , FMI and forge 007. Pulled an extra 30hp at the wheels and an extra 60 torque after the map so i was well happy with the gain ... in the new year im planing on a full milteck then il be jumping to stage2.

Does it feel alot quicker? gonna get mine done soon, but need cambelt and service first then get it done, but before xmas so I get the £100 off.

iv got custom code, i was owed a favore so got it silly cheap, also though iv got a revo sticker lol, it stops a lot of unwated sillyness from some of the guys down my way though
any ways, i wish i had the revo as its cheap to hop to the next stage and the sps swich is good aswell!! id go Revo but dont get a trial map from them....

i went for custom code mate. think it really depends what you want from your car. mine is really progressive and really powerful at near enough anytime and i am really happy with it. i have read that revo is very agressive but tails off in higher revs. i havent drove a revo lcr so cant offer a direct comparison. Either way you will not be disapointed with a stage one map so get it done.lol:D

It's just a shame I've got 3 kids otherwise I would have got the turbo back exhaust, FMIC, TIP and Stage 2 instead of their christmas pressies ;) or another option sell the kids get all the above but also get some coilovers and ARB's! hmm that sounds like a plan...now where are those pesky kids hiding?

Cheers for all the help chaps my mind is made up now - REVO all the way.

Terry have you decided where you guys are going next Sunday?

iv got a funny feelin we going over to bristol, i will prob go to swindon first and drive down with sam and his merry men
im only going if you get me a doughnut though

Yer mate allot smoother also , my peak is like inbetween 2.5k - 4.8k now i love it. although its very torquey! worth the money all day long. also get 30day money back with revo technik also.hope this helps

Yeah forgot to add that a uprated TIP is a worthwhile mod, either a forge one or badger bill 3" TIP :)

Fair enough i'll get the doughnut's in, shame I can't get the map done before next week but that will be pushing it, I'll probably meet you guys on the motorway (M4) by Bath Jct18.

Fcuknafe - thanks for the info - looking forward to the map now.
