I have Custom code and have done for around 3 years. I know you are not going for the CC now, but if you did, i would go to the HQ in Chesterfield. Reason being, James took a loong time on my car when it was getting mapped. He said because the car felt really healthy he could adjust certain things with the map. At a recent RR day at AmD it made 281bhp on the rollers. To everyone that will be uttering yeh yeh, Shaun @ AmD said he was very impressed with how powerful and progressive it was for a stage 1. He warned me to look after it as it was 'immencely fast' even for a stage 2 map. Also he mentioned that i really need to look after it.
With CC it is still an aggressive map when it wants to be, you tend to have a lower torque value but this is spread around the whole rev range and into the redline. Shaun also said he prefers CC cos of the way the power is delivered as my setup is at its most powerful high in the rev range. Dont get sold on peak values, the flatter the curve the more pleasure you will have driving the car.
