Hi, I'm seriously debating wrapping my bonnet in Carbon Fibre and
maybe the roof and wing mirror's (bonnet first) I have wrapped quite a few
cars now and parts on my motocross bike it looks good but will it on my LCR:blink:,

what do you fellow leon owners think yeh or neh?

Quick photoshop effort! click the bar to see it bigger.

HeHe the wonders of Photoshop :funk: probably the roof would look good done aswell I have a silver LCR so it will be alot bigger contrast than your black LCR, Since you
cannot buy carbon bonnets either it will just be a bit different.

It's a vinyl, there have been many attempts to replicate carbon fibre in vinyl but they all looked pretty SH@" up until now, I got sent a sample of this new type and have been using it ever since it's very realistic and I wrap bonnets for £150 which is 1/4 the price of a actual carbon fibre bonnet (if you only want it for prostetic's) also it prevents stone chips which is all good and when you take it off the paint is as good as new underneath

I think it would look good on a car that was modified (appearance wise) enough to suit it.

For example you silver LCR lowered, black wheels, tints, HIDs etc.......then it would look cool : )

As long as the vinyl is shiny i think it would look good, im not a fan of the carbon wrap that looks matt.

Yeah mayn I have my H&R lowering springs ready to go on just waiting for the exhaust to turn up and do it all together, my baby is due anyday now and I have convinced my gf that tinting the LCR will be a practical outlay when having the kid in the back:D.

Next month I will wrap it and post some pics.

Thanks dude. I'm very interested in this as my bonnet is chipped and I can't afford to repaint it especially if its just going to get rechipped soon after.

Just a quick one.. How much, roughly do wrapping companies charge for covering the wing mirrors as there is a carbon wrapping company near me in Burton on Trent.
Cheers. :)

I use as people have mentioned the 3m di-noc vinyl, in your case it's a very cheap and probably better looking alternative to getting your bonnet sprayed, I met a fellow LCR owner the other day his car was black and that had loads of stone chips on the bonnet it looks alot worse on the dark colours especially when there is white undercoat
