Hi

Ive got a new LCR, just done about 1100miles. So far Im loving the exhaust note, not so much the tyre roar, and what about the mpg :(

Ive had 2 Golt GTI's, the last one being an Edition 30 with a stage 1 remap. I could scrape 400miles out of it 55l tank (carfeully driving to the speed limit). The LCR is not mapped (yet) but is just about doing 300miles to the same tank - and thats driving really slowly (ran in for 1000miles, so kept to 3000rpm limit). I thought this newer engine was supposed to bit a bit cleaner than the ED30 version? Or is it cos its new? but dont recall the ED30 being this thirsty...

I love the 19 wheels, but my god theres loads of tyre roor - my mrs reckons it sounds like being on an Easyjet. Different tyres/pressures might help or is just something to live with?

Any suggestions?

Cheers

You could put 18" on and have a bit more profile but would loose the 19" look. inches vs comfort!

Seeing about 250 miles per tank using v power, following running it in for 1100 miles. Only covered 1600 miles, so this should get better.

The bridgestones on mine don't seem too bad, i have adjusted the tyre pressures though. Different tyres could be your answer.
Road noise in the cabin is higher than when i had my TT.

Tyre brands make a huge difference on the VAG platforms, I'm hoping the Conti sport contact that I've just bought will be quiet. I had some cheap rubber on before them and I honestly thought I had four screwed wheel bearings!

yeah I had 18s on the golf; tyre noise was never an issue. Maybe will try adjusting the pressures on the Bridgestones.

250 to a tank, yikes...
