Hi guys just wondering if anyone could help me out. Over the last few weeks my engine managment light and traction control light have been on due to a leaking/split air pipe under the inlet manifold. A garage said they wanted the car for a few hours to get the part number im no expert mechanic but surely it doesnt take 3 hours to undo a series of electrical clips and roughly 12 allan key bolts. Just wondering if anybody has had the same problem with a split airline in this location and if anybody knows what the parts number is. The car is a 1M seat leon cupra 180.

Thanks guys

Sam

Also i fitted a boost gauge to see how the car was boosting and with the split pipe it seems to sit a -8 bar while idling and only boost up to 0.5 bar is this normal ?

Cheers

Those figures are about right for an LC180, around 0.6bar is standard boost, so if there is a leak it must be a small one, still need it sorted though! As for your other questions im afraid I can't help you.

Yes i have had this. Have changed all my breather/turbo/coolant/pcv pipes myself since. Theres links online for those pipes from sfs or creation motorsport. Silicone aftermarket piping that bypasses loads of crap under your intake mani. You can delete useless pipes, replace all cheaper than a garage will fix/replace with oem, and they never deteriourate. So deff worth looking into.

Give me a message with the pipes and i will get you links for all these then pist them online for others who need help.

Good luck :) you will need a brake servo pipe, a breather to intake mani pipe, and whilst your at it you can replace the 3mm vac lines that go to the under left
Of the manifold.

Sorry for the late update lol but turns out it wasnt the vac pipes it was the crankcase breather pipe that had perished wich i was quoted £60 for part and labour by a garage so decided to let the profesionals to for that price now turns out i need a new maf sensor and to get the car remapped for it to run properly just more spending to do but will be well worth it in the end

Pipes on my cupra 180 used to split all the time and you could tell with performance. I've replaced 2-3 PVC pipes under inlet and 0nes going from the pipe what as split on yours. Its hard to check if there split you have to take them off. Its easy to do by the way

Yeah im going to replace the inlet manifold pipework and remove n75 valve too then get a stage 1 revo but first need to get a new maf sensor but torn on a £23 ebay universal for vag cars or a genuine £67 oem part which is the one that has failed me

Problem all sorted and the cars running smooth as ever now new maf was fitted after work yesterday and a diagnostic was ran and fault codes erased which were p0172 ( bank 1 running too lean ) and p0102 ( faulty maf sensor ) so all in all needed a new crankcase breather pipe and new maf sensor :) remap on the weekend then and all sorted
