Hi there, I have just received my Seat Ibiza FR Black Edition, the interior is leather (i think) but could be fake leather, I may try and contact Seat but wondered if anybody on here might have the answer.

I'm hoping to clean the seats this week, but want to know what the best way to clean and protect them is. Using a leather cleaner might do more harm if the seats aren't real leather?

Note: I would say the leather is the same as the Itech

I'm gonna hazard a guess that it's Alcantara as seat don't do leather so google a suitable cleaner for this, but generally a damp cotton cloth will do the job. Surface protection sprays are also available

It's part leather and alcantara yes! I'm wanting to know if the leather part is real or not?

Unless high end car leather is coated so the best cleaner is a damp microfiber once a week.

I think its PVC, like the i-tech seats which are not made of cow at all.

Well my FR seats appear to be wrapped in the same stuff as the steering wheel which Seat say is leather so I'd like to believe it's real leather

Given that the description of the alcantara pack never once uses the word "leather" I have my doubts. Its described as PLV in the picture.

I'm still non the wiser lol. Does anybody have these seats and what do you use to clean and condition them? Dan

I'll stick my neck out. Drive to a SEAT dealer show them your seats and ask them to recommend a cleaner.
I could tell you that your seats are alcantara which is fake and your steering wheel is leather which is not but in 12 years of driving Ibiza's I have never once washed the seats. :snack:

Been to dealer and spoke to the most dopest person alive, after some research i have decided to use Poorboy's Leather stuff as it works on vinyl seats and leather
