Someone on here paid about 23k for a Leon FR TDI, mind you it had the full body kit and leather seats.... and just about every other option going!

How good are the seats in the Cupra version, comfy or a bit restrictive. Do they have lumbar support controls?

I absolutely love 'em.

They don't offer anything but height adjustment, but i just fit damn good in them. :D

I find them to provide great grip, yet comfy.

I love the power delivery from my FR Diesel, the seats are comfy & have lumbar support.

Also like other people have mentioned the hideen rear door handles, watching friends walk up the rear door looking for the handles.

Nice to read so many positives on here.

For me, there are many great things about my car (Mk2 FR TDi). The balance of power, economy, equipment and price make it a fantastic all-rounder. I like the standard aux-in for my MP3. The seats are great.

I particularly like the relative rarity of the Leon compared to the Golf, Focus et al. I think that the car is a real head-turner - I get a lot of admiring glances, particularly from women, and I'm pretty certain that they are admiring the car and not the ropey old bugger driving.

I would say that I get more attention (in a nice way) than in my last car, and as that was a white Focus ST with a stripe down the side this is no mean feat!

I love the look of it! The suave sophisticated curves...

Just the way people look at it in a real classy way! They thinks its all sweetness & light, but really its a beast of a car, a wolf in sheeps clothing!

The seats - how you're pinned back into pure comfort & luxury, and really held there!

The power....aaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwsssssssssoooooooooommmmmmmmmmeeeeeeee!

I love it! I love it! I love it!

What I love:
i) The shape and style of the car - best looking hatchback around at the moment IMO.
ii) Little gimmicks such as the vertical wipers, hiden rear door handles, 3 drinks holders & red backlight.
iii) Performance, mines a 2.0Litre TDi sport which can easily reach over 100MPH and keep going, gets there pretty quick too, which leads to my next point....
iv) Frugality - I average over 60MPG on my daily commute and high 30's when I thrash it.
v) The name - Leon, it's simple and cool, not named after a boring sport or a flying ship.

What I love slightly less:
i) The steering wheel - not sure why but I feel it's a bit thin and light.
ii) The scary beeps when your low on fuel or the outside temperature drops.
iii) The rubbish speakers.

Overall it is the best car I have ever owned and I give it 9 out of 10!

:D

1)I agree that the leon, especially in FR or Cupra spec is the best looking hatchback out there at the mo. OK then, maybe its a tie with the Alfa 147 but the Leon certainly looks a lot more special than a Golf or A3. People looked surprised when I said I was buying a SEAT, now they've seen it they want one.
2) Great value.
3) Fuel milage (yes even from the TFSI)
4) Very comfy seats
5) Great fun handling, inspires confidence but doesn't feel like its on rails.

The potential tunability of the engines is another plus factor. A remap alone on a Cupra produces more power and torque than several thousand on every possible add on to an Astra VXR or Focus ST with a standard turbo (yes everything like manifold, exhaust, intake, intercooler etc). In addition, the regular 200bhp TFSi has been known to get very close to approx 300bhp with the above upgrades as well.

The 140TDi comes close to 200bhp and without the DPF, the 170TDi will make 220-230bhp.

I love the noise the TFSi's make with a full aftermarket exhaust and the way that nobody expects it from a "lowly" Leon.

However, best of all, I love watching Focus ST's and Astra VXR's disappear out the back window ;)
