Hi,

My left paddle shifter stopped to click (on lowering gears) - and I can't find part number.
Does anyone have an idea maybe? I saw some vid on youtube - looks like a known problem with vag cars?

Thank you in advance.

What do you mean by stopped to click? Is it not changing gears?

When you press on it - it sort of clicks when it changes the gear - you can feel it that it goes down (closer to you) and back. Now one feels like it is stuck - it does work, but I need really press on it.

I have found the part name, the problem for me now to find some place to buy it (I am not from those who can safely stuck their hands into the car and get away with it :/ )

Part number: '4H0951523E'

@Zx7R you can remove the paddle and check if it's broken or perhaps what's causing it. Turn the steering wheel a quarter turn and remove the pin sitting below the paddle using nose pliers and you should be able to remove and inspect it.

Edit: Wrong info, airbag needs to be removed, see post #9 below.

Will try to look at it. Thank you.

I believe they are identical but can't swear on it since I don't have my Cupra yet.

Nope.
Golf R and Cupra are completely different.

To get to the Cupra ones, you have to remove the airbag and mf buttons.

Instructions for removal are here: https://imgur.com/tWsIEZW

This morning I looked behind the steering wheel - indeed, there are no pins to take out. Thank you for the manual.

Strange: the part appears for example here - but in selecting vehicle compatibility it shows that my car is not compatible for this part. Does this mean anything at all?

Also this site shows it suitable for Audi only, but there are same parts as Leon in audis/WV/Scoda, right?

Nope to check fitment of the DSG paddle replacements that I sell (well designed)

Ok., thanx for the reply. Say, what can you say about what I posted above? About compatability of the parts? Can the part be ordered, based only on the catalog number, ignoring what car it fits to, in descriptions? It's my first time with such a thing, that I need to look for a part by myself.

The replacements - are the paddles or does it come with the button itself too? :)
