Ok people, I've just managed to acquire a pair of Leon fr door cards, they fit perfectly in my as except the wiring loom on the car for the ambient lighting isn't there, if somebody could point me to what I need to do to make this work with the car I.e a wiring diagram for the loom that goes from the doors to the on board computer I would be very greatful

I have had a look on Elsawin. It points to this diagram:

Unfortunately it seems to indicate that the Ambient Illumination is wired directly to the on-board supply control unit, via the 27 pin connector that goes from the body to the door and not into the door control module.
I took some photos of my Cupra when I installed sound deadening. I think it's the blue connector under the door handle:

Mating half hanging down by the speaker:

Check the continuity between the 2 pin blue plug and the black 3 pin connectors on the LED modules at the front and back of the door car to make sure though.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply, yes the blue connector is for the ambient lighting, I'm just in need of knowing where this leads to, instead of buying a whole wiring loom in going to make one for that blue wire, does the wire go to the quad lock behind the CD player in the glovebox or elsewhere ? I can't see diagram very clearly as it's coming up blurry, thanks.

If not do you know where I need to apply the pins in the onboard supply control unit, sorry it's all pretty new to me

The pins go into the on-board supply control unit (J519). It looks like it is next to the steering column and has 3 connectors going into it. You will need the 73 pin one.

Blue/Green wire T73c (Pin 9)
White wire T73c (Pin 3)

Blue/Green Wire:

Ambient Light 3pin (black plug) pin 1
V
Door Card 2pin (blue plug) pin 1
V
Door to body 27pin (?) pin 9
V
J519 73pin (?) pin 9

White Wire:

Ambient Light 3pin (black plug) pin 2
V
Door Card 2pin (blue plug) pin 2
V
Door to body 27pin (?) pin 10
V
J519 73pin (?) pin 3

Do you have any idea how to code the ambient illumination once the electrical work is done?
It seems to be tied to the driving modes (red or white illumination).

If I am completely honest with you the wiring you've instructions you have posted above blow my mind haha, obviously from the blue plug on each door I have 2 wires going into the blue plug on each side so 4 wires in total will need wiring into the 73 pin lock, all the wiring on the ambient is present on the door card it's just the wiring from the door card to the module that I need help with, and as for coding I'm unsure, I have vids and have made various mods with it like rvc camera, rear lights as dlrs and I put fr folding mirrors on the car but I don't know how I would code the car for driving modes, to be honest I would probably only ever want the ambient lighting to be red so would it be possible to remove the blue plug and patch the ambient lights to a 12v live and they would just illuminate when the ignitions on or do they require the controller to tell them to illuminate red ? Thanks.

I was thinking along the lines of just patching them in if you didn't need full control.

The White and Blue/Green wires refer to the Red and White illumination (don't know which way round). The brown is common (earth).

You could take a feed from the switch illumination in the door.
32 pin connector pin 4 (grey wire).

Managed to get it to work in one door..what a ball ache let me say lol, took the live from the grey wire as pointed out...still no power when applying it to the blue wire Which is red illumination.I had to patch the brown wire [earth] onto the Brown wire on one Side of the ambient light to make it work, surely there must be an easier way of getting an earth when I do the passenger side
