Looking for any owners of the 2.0tsi FR (the 211ps lump) who have it remapped, what sort of gains did you achieve? What was the car like after the map as Ive never really been impressed with the 2.0tsi in stock form.
Cheers

Take precat out too as it frees the exhaust up a little. Something in region of 250-260bhp with right map and 300ftlb torque or so.

What's involved in removing the pre-cat? Does it require a ramp to access from underneath, will a replacement section be needed and will it still get through an MOT without it?

Theres a few guides out there to do it, its very easy and with the car up in the air it shouldnt take long. I had mine done at the time when i had my remapped. It doeant make any difference for the mot and definately has small but noticeable benefits. Its cheap option instead of a downpipe and sports cat which would ultimately be better but with the pre cat delete you can run a stage 1.5 map which isnt so very different from a stage 2 as exhaust gas temps can be reduced with the better exhaust flow from the pre cat being removed. My map runs about the same boost as a stage 2 and although i havent had it on a rolling road from my maf peak readings im looking at 250bhp. I have a tfsi and have a shark 1.5 map.

You have to remove the downpipe section to knock out the pre-cat. No replacement parts needed.
Literally just a case of break up and remove the material inside the exhaust where it bolts onto the turbo.
