Hi all

I have recently purchased a Leon TDI FR+ off a mate, and so far i'm loving it :D

Anyways on to my question:

Basically when i brake doing anything above 50, the steering wheel wobbles. Just the steering wheel - no pedal shake/vibration etc

It had an oil service today by a VAG specialist, and i asked them to check it out. They put it on the brake balance machine thingy, and said it has an inbalance of 40kgs.. and that i need new discs and pads.. total cost would be £210 all in

Thing is tho, it had EBC pads and 312mm discs fitted 10k miles last year some time? So i'm guessing that they weren'y bed in properly and has led to the discs warping? Could that be right?

The garage were fairly keen that i get the parts from them...for obvious reasons. But for the same price i can get brembo pads and discs.

Should i stick with OEM spec discs and pads?

I would look into the wobble first otherwise the new discs could turn out the same, could be a sticking caliper or something?

yer i may just book it in with the garage to inverstigate. Just the cost thats killin me. I think it's gonna have to wait till next month tho as am skint from buying it.

Don't get me wrong your still saving, its just not 25%

I considered getting the Brembo discs and pads but decided on Pagid in the end.

Just need a few hours of dry time at the weekend to fit them...
