Hi Guys,

First time poster long time reader.

Just bought myself a new Leon MK2 stylance model, with K1 body kit :p

Can anyone help with the use of cruise control feature?

I've read my owners manual and on the left stalk suggests to flick the switch to ''on'' and then once reachign speed required to press the set button once, i've tried this but to no avail?

Any ideas?

On mine you flick the switch on the top of the left stalk to the left then push the button on the end of the stalk if I remember correctly. I'm sure the the button on the end of the stalk also increases and decreases your speed. To cancel it simply brake or flick the switch ontop of the stalk in the opposite direction. If that doesn't work there might be a fault.

Bit vague but I don't use it much sorry :D I'm sure someone will be along to correct me or give better info if I'm wrong though ;)

As above really. The only thing I can add is that on some Leons the cruise control light in the dash doesn't work, you can see where it should be but it doesn't illuminate.

No light shows when mine is on. Is it supposed to? Always thought it was a little odd there was nothing telling me cruise control was on.

I use my cruise constantly. The switch on the top of the stalk should be to the left "On" position. No light will show on the dash at this point. When desired speed is reached, press the bottom button on the rocker type switch at the end of the stalk. Green light should appear on dash, in speedo. Use the rocker to increase and decrease speed by a) tapping the up and down rocker switch at the end of the stalk to increase and decrease speed in 1mph increments, or b) hold each of those buttons to quickly increase or decrease speed.

Flick the switch on top of the stalk to the middle position to cancel the cruise (it will spring back to the left "On" position), or turn it completely off by flicking it all the way to the right.

If left in the "On" position, you can press the top switch at the end of the stalk to resume the previously set speed, or the bottom one to set at the current speed.

The cruise control light only works on the clusters with the large MFD, which only came with Bluetooth option or if you change the dials yourself.

This is an example of such a cluster

No, the light is the same light, it just won't come on with a small MFD. No idea why, but when I swapped my cluster over the light suddenly worked!

How much was it to change your cluster and was it an easy job, wanted to do it for ages?

Cluster cost me 100 and was going to include fitting and coding, but the guy didn't have the head unit removal tools (normally just does VWs) and so I ended up at a dealer. I paid over the odds for mine but had little choice at that point.

Keep an eye out on eBay for them if you still want to pursue.

I always thought it was really weird that there is no indication cruise control is on, no light on the dash, seems really stupid to me. Same with the fogs, you can't see the light switch when driving so can't see if they're on or not. Dumb.

Mine has a light too, but it's FL. no Bluetooth though - as far as I'm aware!
