hi just bought a leon Mk2, its got the bluetooth kit ( so has large MFD). thing is the MFD has suddenly stopped working. I thought it had just frozen so tried disconnecting the battery, still not working.

any ideas would be much appreciated

thanks

Have you been fiddling with the menu on the MFD?

There is a menu setting called "turn display off". IIRC if you activate this setting the display goes blank until you press and hold the scroll down button.

Fingers crossed for you.

I thought it might have been that at first and did try that-didn't work. The car is still under warranty so I'll probably book it in, but thanks anyway mate.

I have had the same problem with mine, three weeks ago the MFD locked up, turning the engine on and off still made no differeance. I left the car for a couple of hours and everything worked again.
Last week I turned the engine off and jumped out of the car for a couple of minutes to talk to somebody, when i got back in the display was blank, again turning the car on and off, locking unlocking the car made no difference. Parked the car up at work and when i went back after 8 HRs all was ok again.

I need to take it in but as its not faulty at the moment i guess they may have trouble resolving it.
