Leon MK3 5F - DRL warning after installing RGB modules

Hello everyone, does anybody knows if there's a way to turn DRL diagnostics off with coding? Or any other way to avoid getting DRL fault codes? I installed RGB DRLs and of course the OEM lights are disconnected resulting in DRL fault codes.

Can you tell us where you got your RGB DRLs from?

Also, could you post a pic in this forum so we can see what they look like?

Thanks!

They look nice mate!

Looks like yours is the MK3.5?

I've seen some UK sellers also offering these modules along with fitting - I'm hoping they would know how to get rid of the error code?

Maybe you could try and clear them through the OBD?

Here is the listing:

Thanks man!, Ok let me give it a try, I already erase the codes, but as soon as I turn the lights on, it appears once again.

Found this thread looking for something else but in case anyone else finds it and need to turn off their DRL warning:

Leuchte2SL VLB10 Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC-DFCC change to 0
Leuchte3SL VRB21 Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC-DFCC change to 0

Same applies to any of the lights, if you change the Fehlerort mittleres (Fault location medium) to 0 it should kill the bulb warning for that specific light.

Edit to add: As this turns off the error-warning feature, you won't know if a light fails and could land you in hot water.... So be warned

Depends on how you've wired it......are the normal sidelight functions still on the original setup, or does your RGB setup deal with side lights too?
If the RGB setup deals with both, simply go to the following lines in the adaptation map, and look for the LICHTFUNCKTION lines on both Leuchte 2SL VLB10 (left headlight unit) and Leuchte 3SL VRB21 (right headlight unit) and set all the functions to not active. The car won't know the lights are there once the coding is altered, and the bulb error light won't come on.

If the RGB device deals only with the DRLs, and other functions of the original light are retained as normal, just disable the daytime running lamps function (set to not active)

Make sure you screenshot your settings before changing anything in case it doesn't work.

Hope this helps
