HI all a newbie here , great site you guys have .I am hoping to tap in to some of your knowledge .
I just purchased a 2006 Leon 1.6 petrol last week . Am delighted with the car so far ...just one problem the radio is completely dead (was like this when i bought it ) no lights no nothing on the screen . I was hoping it might be a fuse but i cant find where the radio fuse is in the fuse box . I looked in fuse panel on the end of dash (access when door open ) but the fuse card to tell me what fuse is for what is missing ,then i checked under the bonnet and the same there . So can anyone tell me where is the fuse located for the radio and what number is it . Is there another fuse box that i have nt found ?

thanks in advance
Martin

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new car :)

I thought the fuse layout was in the Handbook...

Did you get one of them with the car?

It may depend if the people before you had an aftermarket kit in there maybe the quadlock is not inserted properly...

Hi all,
Thanks for the speedy replies .I dont have origional owners manual either and the radio is the standard one factory one .I will try taking out the radio at wknd to see if the fuse behind it is problem (hopefully ...)
Will let you know how I get on . Just thinking i dont have the code for it if I do get it to power up ...are the codes hard to get ?? main dealer is it !

The fuse for the radio is in the box on the right of the engine bay (looking in). Manual is in the loft but it's the blue fuse (only blue one) adjacent to the wing.

Hi all ,
Here the update . went to start car at wknd (car hadnt been used in week ) battery was stone dead . The car had been lying for 6 months before I purchased it so just went to autofactors and bought a new battery as figured the old one was knackered . I put in the new battery and fired up the car and what do you know the radio came on !!!! So I dont know would the car management system not let the radio power up as the battery was low or how can it be explained .... also it needed no code after changing the battery ....!!! I cant explain it but I am a happy Leon driver

Thanks everyone :):)

Glad you got that sorted! :)

You only need the code if you remove the radio from the wire harness.
