Recently bought a Leon 1.5 DSG and want to get it tuned - i can either get it stage 1 180 brake 350 newton metres or 200 brake and 300 newton metres? Any opinions on this?

I Guess it comes down to how much reliability you want to lose. For example there are different versions of the DSG gearbox for different engine power outputs. There are also different specs of clutch for the same reason. If you up the power without upgrading everything else it's only a matter of time before stuff starts to break.
I think the reason why @adam davies was not believing the figures quoted is that Stage 2 on the 2.0 Ltr EA888 Cupra engine and it's associated standard hardware, plus extensive upgrades is only pushing out circa 405 bhp and 585 Nm.
The weak link on the 1.4 and 1.5 engines is the DSG box mated to it which will limit the torque.
Stage 1 from reputable tuners is in the ball park of 180 bhp / 300 Nm.
Well answer to both, I had it remapped, 210nm and i now have a clutch, flywheel and some other stuff and a £3500 repair bill ! luckily i only got it 7 weeks ago so can get it under warranty
@jhpratley - Whether or not you’ll be able to claim for repairs under warranty will depend on the small print in the warranty, so it’d be worth reading through your warranty booklet.
Most new or used car warranties won’t cover;
repair / replacement of parts that have failed due to driving style or wear and tear, and failure of clutch components is normally considered to be due to driving style or wear and tear rather than as a result of a fault or defect of the clutch components.
replacement of parts / components that have failed where the failure can be attributed to the vehicle having been modified.
