Looks like tyre failure while on a hot lap in Q3

Tyre de-lamination or a suspension failure has caused Lewis to crash out of the 3rd qualifying session.

Impact was very hard, and he has been taken to the medical centre. He has been injured, and was stretchered from the car. However he gave a thumbs up and a wave from the stretcher.

Could be a cut or possibly a broken or chipped bone.

Ron Dennis says, wheel gun malfunction. Wheel wasn't bolted on properly.

Yes, he's had the green light to race. No injuries as first feared, just knocked the wind out of him.

Should be a great race if he gets a good start. He's a great overtaker, loves to race. So should be fun.
