I think he's doing it himself, which is hard with the bespoke parts from the engine builders in France (Oreca) that won't be available to him

Yeah, I clocked in Autosport that 3 engines had gone to oreca, were then being witheld and then sent back. Surely they must of had an idea of engine rebuild costs before they sent them.

From what I understand, they were held to ransom by Oreca over unpaid bills from the previous owners of the engines (which presumably Maxtreme weren't aware of). They've all obviously come to some agreement over the old debt but that agreement seems to have involved Oreca sending them back a box of bits instead of finished engines.
