I've just received a new light switch as my old one was broke and the fogs were staying on all the time. Problem is, it looks like I didn't put it in the correct position before putting it in and now the sidelights are constantly on and the switch won't push in for me to get it back out. It's also making a loud buzzing noise when I turn the ignition on. How can I get it back out?

Right the surround and the headlight adjuster bit came out but the main round parts to turn the lights on and off is still stuck in. It just wont push in for me to turn it and pull it out :(

Not sure if it was ok to be honest. I am in work and just did it in a rush when it arrived and completely forgot about turning it.

If I drop the lower part of the dash would I be able to get to it?

You know what I think lee is right on the fuse board thingy! I seem to remember having a butchers behind it before when I took my lower dash out for the clutch clip replacement!

Yep I've done it before, thats how I broke my old one when putting the dash back :D

Cheers for the help guys, I'll give it a go when I've got 5 mins this afternoon and see how it goes.

What could be causing the loud buzzing sound when I turn the ignition on though?!

Got it sorted now. Had to drop the lower part of the dash and go in with a very small screwdriver to push the raised bit in. The switch is broke it doesn't push in at all so I'm thinking maybe it was broken when I had it?

Good news is the old one is working fine now :D
