lights-on alarm not working

i noticed this morning, while i had my sidelights on i got to work turned my engine off and opened the door but no beeping sound to say i left the lights on, im wondering is there a fuss for this?

yea i checked that first to make sure it was working and it does, does the beeping on make the noise when the drivers door is open?

Yes leave side/lights on or indicator up/down makes the noise.

i tried leaving the lights on and opened the door, didnt make a noise. I also left the indicator up/down and it didnt make the noise?

Sounds like the chime is dead, under the dash gets my vote

hard or easy to change, is there any other checks i can do?

Right bit of an update, before i was trying the doors while just opening the car so interior light would of still been on, just started the engine shut drivers door then opened again no interior light, but every other door i opened interior light came on.

The drivers door lock contains the switch to activate the interior light.
There is a way you can "re-furbish" the lock have a looksy about on here for it.
