Lights under Rear View Mirror

Does anyone know what the two downward facing red lights under the rear view mirror are for? They're not annoying or anything, just wondered what they are for?

Simply just to give a night time glow on the dashboard and gear stick so you can see things better... I quite like it!

I guessed that was what they were for and I have to agree, I like it as well
