Have just driven home from a mates and started the journey in limp mode with no boost over 5psi.. Yep still having issues lol

Anyway after about 10 minutes of driving it went back to normal and started boosting fully again...

I thought you had to reset the ECU or at least turn the engine off to switch off gimp mode? I didnt realise it could also do it whilst driving..

depends what the fault is. have you had it on vagcom yet

Mine won't boost from cold, usually takes 2 or 3 minutes before it'll let me boost on a really cold day..

Think I read on here it's part of the secondary air pump and safeguards until the lamda reaches a specific heat???

Have a searchy searchy

aaaaww, that sounds painful...."Mine won't boost from cold, usually takes 2 or 3 minutes before it'll let me boost on a really cold day"

your poor engine...no warming up or cooling down for you then!?

Ouch!!!! Dont expect it to last too long if you drive it that way, set your alarm 10 mins earlier and do it properly.....

Back on subject tho.......Mine used to go in and out of limp mode when my maf was dying.......

when it goes into limp mode whilst boosting just try letting your foot off the excelerator then putting it straight back on, mine did this for a few weeks until i swapped the n75 valve. couldn't figure out why the lads at psi sugested it and its been fine since. very strange

Same here, mine goes in and out of limp and logs a MAF fault on VAGCOM. Seems to be particularly prone to doing it when the engine is under a lot of load (with 4 people in the car and driving a bit enthusiastically).
