Limp Mode scanning using VCDS Lite

Hi Guys,

I have a copy of VCDS Lite and just wondering what I need to do to check for faults that are causing Limp Mode. Can anyone advise?

Check for fault codes in the engine module. List what you find here.

01-Engine: No faults found!

Tried checking 11, 21 and 31 but get something along the lines of "Interface Not Supported!" (I have the Gendan VAG Cable - KKL).

I've only ever experienced Limp Mode twice - once when about 5 or so minutes into a journey and travelling down the motorway/highway (I was running quite low on fuel at this time too!) and once when returning from a ~30 mile journey and cruising at ~70mph.

I'll probably pay the $99 and get it registered to allow the Auto-Scan function to work,

tell us about the car first. VCDS-Lite and your wire are only compatible with cars up to around 2005/2006. You have a newer one?

I checked with the guys at Gendan who said it should work (car is a 2004 Ibiza Cupra TDI). Power has been upped from 160 to 190 but the Limp Mode has only happened at cruising speed, never when pushing.
