do you mean behind the little compartment underneath the lights turn dial? Is it above it or below?

Just out of interest where did you get your Vagcom stuff? I'm looking into getting it and have no idea what to get.

Depends what your needs are really? There a few options available....just the reading reseting of faults, live gauges/dash or the ability to alter settings and tweak things?

Varying costs, options and different hardware!

The cables are 'cheap' however, its the actual software bought from a company called 'Ross-Tech' that is the costly bit.

Things like 'Scangauge II', 'LiquidLogic Gauge' and now the OBD II Bluetooth adaptor with the 'Torque' Android app, will allow you to read/reset fault codes and run 'live' data gauges. These to be honest, would get my vote.......as it allows you to self diagnose and inform us all of specific logs to solve your issues!

I'm liking the look of the OBD II Bluetooth adaptor with the 'Torque' Android app as I could run that quite easily from my HTC which would be ideal.
Found one on ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Classic-ELM32...t=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item588d7e4011
Isnt that really cheap though? I'd also quite like to be able to tweak bits in the car too. For example would I be able to change the central locking with that? So that it chirped when it was locking too or would I need a fancier piece of kit in order to do anything like that?
