I have a 02 Toledo TDI SE which I have had for a couple of years now and its been just about the best car I have ever had. With help from this forum I have solved a number of problems which have sprung up, such as the wet footwells etc. But I have two problems which I cannot solve.

Problem 1. When I unlock the car, all the passengers doors & boot unlock on the first click. The drivers doors unlocks on the second. The exact opposite of what you’d expect. When I first had the car they all unlocked together this problem appeared one day out of the blue and I have had to live with it for at least 18 months. Any idea’s

Problem 2 This is recent - Over the xmas period, my daughter was asleep in the car, so I hit the button by the drivers seat (central pillar) to disable the alarm. and locked the car using the remote.

Came back to the car and no remote central locking. Also the electric windows have packed up, as have the interior lights alarm I think and something else I think. I thought it must be a fuse, so eventaully after searching high and low and beleive this ! even tried calling the west cornwall Seat Garage and they did not know the location found the fuse box.

All fuses ok.

The one on top of the battery are all fine also.

Any idea's?

Problem 2 is now sorted. Disconnected battery and left for 10 mins then reconnected. Now Back to normal.

Problem 1 is still there. - ?????/

It's the same on all of my key fobs but nice try.

The car has not been plugged into a computer during the time i have owned it at least. the problem possibly first cropped up when the battery had been disconnected but cant swear by that - a 50 / 50 thing.

Another question, has anyone chipped their TDI? Is it worth it? ecconomy is important to me,o if that is compromised then i will forget the whole idea but if not then I'll get it done short sweet.
