Hi I'm currently really torn between the leon and Volkswagen golf, the golf has a 1.2 tsi engine with 110hp and 175 nm torque while the leon has a 1.4tsi engine with 150 hp and 250 nm torque. Which is the better car ?
Looking to buy the latest leon 1.4 tsi 150 hp opinions ?

We all want different things from cars so I would always suggest you take them both for a test drive to see what they are like.

You're only paying for the badge with a Golf and maybe a slightly more premium feeling interior. You get a lot more bang for your buck with a Leon. Especially when you start adding on options.
Leon is a better drive, Golf has a more polished interior, possibly also more sound insulated. As I don't have a chance to look how nice or not my interior is, I don't mind the step down in perceived quality and presentation of the Leon compared to Golf, as my eyes are on the road / speedo / Sat Nav.
Engine wise, in my opinion 1.4 EcoTSI is a better engine, both power and econmy wise. Plus the Leon's are a lot rarer than the Golf is. Assuming yours is the FR Leon, it also comes with a lot more kit as standard than the Golf.

The problem is that both of them aren't available for test drive where I live in Egypt so I wanted any online advice I can get
I was deciding between a Golf or Leon around this time last year and went with a Leon FR 1.4tsi, haven’t regretted it once. Get so much more for your money with the Leon, the ride is incredibly smooth, has sat nav, parking sensors, LED headlights and tail lights, climate control etc. Used to have a VW Polo and the quality of the Seat is only slightly less than that of a VW. Go for the Leon!
I had the Leon 1.2 TSI for three years, 65 plate and It was a great car (same engine), and it's for that reason I got the Leon again with the 1.4 TSI 150bhp DSG . I can say that the engine is incredible, while the 1.2 was great it's not the same as the 1.4. The LED lights are incredible and the FR trim is fantastic. You won't get half as much gear with the golf.
And the Leon is far better looking. (IMO)
But try both and see how you feel!
Good advice from all. As you're in Egypt though, only thing to add is check prices and specification which can vary in different countries.
Yes I'm thankful for the great advice! I mentioned the specifications above though and price wise the leon is cheaper by about 3,000 usd
3000 usd is a reasonable difference. When I said specification, I meant what options the leon and golf have. others commenting above will be talking about the UK kit, which might not be what you get in Egypt? Edit - I don't know the Egypt market - used prices, depreciation etc.
Yes it is I get a sunroof and xenon lights with the leon and the only feature that the golf has over the leon is a camera in reverse mode. In Egypt I get the same specs of the fr leon without getting the fr interior which is a bummer but I can live with it .
The golf is probably a slightly more premium car, especially interior wise. But value for money it is no contest. You get far more optional extras and a better engine when spending the same money on a Leon.
My Leon has the 1.4 TSI 150 engine and it is excellent. Performance / economy balance is spot on. Very quiet and smooth too.
