Looking to Remap My FR 170 But I live far far away.

Hey everyone.

I'm a total newb when it comes to remapping cars and i though someone here might help.
I've got a Mk2 2012 Seat Leon 2.0 CR TDI FR + (170) and i was looking into remapping. The trouble is that i live in the Western Isles so access to a remap company on the mainland involves a £100 ferry ride and a 'who knows how many' miles round trip.

As far is i can see i have three options.

I can buy a tuning box which i don't really like the sound of.

I can get a Bluefin from superchips. Although i'm not 100% that it is available for the car i have.

Or i can get an STS from Shark Performance.

So i was really looking for any thoughts or opinions from the masses of members on here who will be vastly more experienced in this matter than i am.

Which of the two companies produce better maps or have better customer service? Or which one is easier to use?

Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like my options are more limited than i thought. Looks like I'd have to have the bluefin or drive somewhere. Shark say that the STS wouldn't work so they'd need to take the ecu out.

Has anyone had any dealings with remaps from superchips at all? Or any tuners in the north of Scotland? Since the Bluefin is £499 maybe i could drive somewhere and get a map for around the same price.

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
