lost keys need help

hi there
i'm a briskodian looking for some help my missus has lost the key for her 1.4 ibiza i've ordered a new one from the stealers but they are tellling me 6 weeks wait to recode it
i have had vag com on there but cant seem to get the immobilser code up
does any one know or have any guides as what i can do myself is it possible are am i barking up the wrong tree trying myself
also have i got to go to the main dealer or can third party companies do this job
any help would be brilliant

not too sure if this is what you are after, but if you want to program your new key, this is what you do:
- put your key into the ignition and turn the ignition on for three seconds
- take key out of the ignition
- while holding the lock button on your fob, press the unlock button 3 times
- LED on the remote should flash 5 times and the car should lock itself
- turn the ignition on for 10 seconds to confirm you have finished programming the key
