loud screaming noise on boost

much help needed pls,
i,ve searched for a couple of hours and havn't found anythin that pin points my problen, (although i've learnt a lot about my car from posts already on here)
couple of weeks ago my intercooler pipe blew off causing the car to stall, drove just 200 mtrs home and put it back on, only for it to keep coming off, since fitted a ths fmic, now in 1st and 2nd gear when i accelerate i get a very loud spinning screaming noise that stops when i release the accelorator, this only happens in first and second though when pulling away quickly, also when changing gear from 1st to second and second to third it feels like my front wheels have just rolled somethin as the front of the car kind of jolts, this doesn't happen between any other gear change though
i'm 99% sure i havn't any boost leaks as i've checked visually numerous times, (could be wrong though )

my car is a 2001 ibiza cupra
mods so far are = revo stage 1, forge dv, ths fmic, induction kit, h&r coilovers, 17" alloys, lcr splitter, boost guage, voltage meter,


any ideas much appreciated

sounds like you can hear it spooling up to me?

yeah have you got the stock TIP or has it been uprated? I understand the spooling is more apparent if it's a forge etc.

might be a gasket blowing, think mines doing it too, really high pitch, louder then normal spooling, think it could be one of the gaskets on turbo, more than likely turbo to manifold one

Ave you checked your gear box oil level recently seems very unlikley it will be that but worth a shout.Some times screems when its getting low.Had a saxo that done it was very anoying!

could be new turbo mate, mine when last week,white smoke as well,come about 3 days later, loud screaming whilst noise.

a van at work, has had 3 turbos, and each one it would make a screeching, like metal rubbing metal as it came on boost about 2.5krpm then sure enough after a month of doing it bang!

thanks for the response every1,

still got standard tip,
not using anymore oil than normal,
no smoke at all from exhaust,
will get gearbox oil checked asap,

how can i tell if the turbo to manifold gasket has gone?
just seems strange the noise started at exact time original ic pipe blew off,
power is still there and boost is still hitting 15-16psi,
just noise is a bit worrying and embarrassing when pushed in 1st and 2nd gear,

oh yeah praying its not turbo, although k03s sounds tempting if it is

my turbo mainifold gaskets went about a month ago sound like it was blowing behind the engine like exhaust blowing,an went i put my foot down an took foot off slowly i had a flutter sound,thats gaskets,but if yours is a whilst its either turbo or you could have a small hole in the intercooler which would make this sound

it sounds like a very loud screaming noise thats coming from turbo area,

Probablys gaskets.

Check the turbo bolts on top of the manifold.

Mine done it once, done uo all the turbo and downpipe bolts and it stopped. Started again now
