This morning from cold for about a mile my car was very dead low down before the turbo kicked in but ok when the turbo kicked .. This was happening for about a mile and then was ok....

I had read in the elsa manuals of a fault that can happen with the PD130/150. If there is a lot of rain the MAF can get damp which can reduce the power temporary and yesterday it rained constantly all day and was very heavy, and i did lots of driving, so i would say lots of water ingress. Im guessing this was the cause, anyone else experienced this?

I would have thought that the air filter would have to be completely sodden before that could happen which may actually be the problem, (unlikely) any moisture on the actual maf element would quickly be driven off, wouldn't it? Out of interest what is the definition of "the turbo kicking in" I suspect we all have a different idea of what that means

It didnt last long, maybe not even a mile but apparently according to elsa it does happen. I mean when it comes to around the 1800rpm and the turbo comes in it was ok but under that it was a lot deader than normal.

I have a similar problem (sometimes) but thats usually sticky VNT blades because the turbo is still working under 2000rpm normally..

if i stay on gentle throttle below this period for about 10 seconds i get a charge pressue control min deviation code until the engine is warm.. then its fine :)

Could be a damp airfilter restricting flow when you're running "normally aspirated" (IE before turbo kicks in) I suppose ?
Then once the turbo kicks in it overcomes the resistace of the filter

BTW, what are ELSA manuals, sounds like they hold some useful nuggets of information....
