Lowered with H&R Springs Ride too Firm!!

Good Afternoon Guy and Girls

Looking for some advice here, before I make another poor decision. Now I have a Ibiza Cupra on a 10 plate. I have had larger wheels, 18's with lower profile tyres and I've had it lowered with H&R Springs. Now I'm finding the ride ridiculously Hard! I mean you can feel the gravel on the road.

Now I know its going to be firmer, but this is uncomfortable...

So my questions are these

1/ will it get any softer with use? only had it a week or so.

if not

2/ will upgrading the whole suspension improve the ride? to say (ST BY KW 20MM SPORT LOWERING SPRINGS & SHOCKS SUSPENSION KIT)

if not

3/ Any one wanna buy a Ibiza Cupra lol

The springs will get softer and bed in with use but not by a great deal, the H&R are also known for being one of the firmer range of springs.

Matched springs and shocks will give you a better ride quality compared to lowering springs and standard shocks and the ST springs are also a more comfortable option over the H&R.

the 18s will affect it more.

my Kw V1s are comfier then the stock setup. and im running as low as possible rear and front is pretty low.

Just a quick one Damian, is worth the extra for the BILSTEIN 25MM B12 PRO LOWERING SPRINGS & SHOCKS SUSPENSION KIT?? or will the ST set up be good enough?

Basically I want a good looking car without to much trade off in ride comfort, I use the car on a day to day basis?

May I add another suggestion without stealing your thread. How are the Volgtland springs in general and for ride comfort on standard shocks as I too am looking at changing the springs?

In terms of comfort I'd say the ST kit just edges it but in terms of quality and handling the Bilstein kit is the way to go.

The Vogtland springs are top quality in my opinion and make springs for the Koni coilovers so in that area there's no worries. You'll never get the best ride quality using standard shocks with lowering springs but as long as the shocks are in good condition and not too many miles on them you should be fine.

Yup! I couldn't agree more! Wish I'd known or been told as I would have gone for shock replacement there and then...

Going to but the ST shocks when I get back from Barcelona in a few weeks...
