Mine is down 50mm & sump is slung lower than yours & i have no probs,i would go 35-40mm thats a nice drop but what wheels are you on ?

At the min im on the standard 16s but i will be looking to move up to 18s maybe 19s (range rover wheels) but i know then ill be looking into rolling/flaring if i wanna stop any rubbing

Why would you need to roll arches to stop rubbing with a 40mm drop, arches won't be anywhere near rubbing,do a bit of research & have a look at ppl's rides with 40mm drop & running 18-19's

hhhmmm yeah i'll take a look, i didnt realise there would be that much space lol but i am thinking with the wider wheels it may be an issue

I'm running a 35mm drop in the Mk4 golf and today I was in a skoda octavia of the same platform running on joms. I can't deny it, I was actually quite impressed. I'm like 40 now so can be a right grump fart if the car's to rough but no, just as comfy as springs.
I'm usually banging on about how you get what you pay for but now I'm just confused and my brain hurts, it just doesn't compute! Lol
They can go from something like a 30mm drop all the way down to damaging the car. The guy has them fairly low and we went up a rough country road just to see how they were. I'm fairly blown away tbh.
Here's me looking at shocks from around £200 and you can get a full set of these jom coilies for £160?! Not logical captain, it's enough to make spocks head explode! :D

Have you not noticed how big the leon arches are ?

Mine are 18 x8j & could do with spacing out a bit,all the information is on here just take a little time to search for it on here specially if your not clued up on it

cheers guys good answers. I know there is a guide to wheels somewhere on here. I wont be looking to upgrade the wheels at the min so the springs should be fine :)

Wheel wise you'll be fine, I'm on 18" wheels with 8" front and 9" rears, -30mm springs all round. I'll get a photo of the clearance tomorrow so you can see, there's plenty of room on the Leon. I'm gonna be spacing all 4 wheels out 15mm soon and getting AP coilovers from Awesome as well!
