hi,can anybody tell me how low i can lower my mk1 leon 1.6 16v,without notching the chassis or changing the arb?
ive heard a few people say you dont need to change the arb or notch the chassis, are any of these myths or truth?
i dont want it stupidly low just about 50mm lower and a bit stiffer suspension!

there is truth to that, wont need notching but a new ARB is needed if you want to go 50mm, your best bet if you don't want to go down the route of changing the ARB is getting lowering springs, wont be as low 30/35 mm lower maybe. then maybe upgrade your shocks. otherwise the JOM blueline coilover is a great budget one used by loads of people.

springs and shocks, im lowered -60mm with springs and no problems with rubbing or anything :)

On the 1.6 you'll have a slightly smaller driveshaft so can get away with around a 60mm drop without need to change the ARB.

cheers guys, another question when i do lower it and it rubs can i get away with using different droplinks?some ones told me they used fiesta droplinks, dont know how trust worthy it is though! :s

ive also got the 1.6 16v and im lowered -60mm on springs with no issues :) soon to be going lower on coilovers so i'll defo need the new arb lol
